DIY SOS
As the shop had been neglected for many years a complete renovation was required, literally stripping the shop of every fixture & fitting back to the bare stone walls and removing everything INCLUDING the Kitchen sink!
We were so lucky that the village pulled together and soon a crack team of carpenters, painters, electricians, plumbers were all hard at work, with most people giving up their time for free to transform the building into something we can all be proud of today!

The Horse Trailer
As the shop was relied upon by so many in the village we needed a way to stop the shop from closing whilst these works were completed - to save the day we were kindly loaned a horse trailer which was speedily cleaned and converted into a small temporary shop where people could still collect their daily papers & purchase essentials like Bread & Milk, snacks & much more.
